It might seem unusual for a snowsports brand to be talking about microlending in Kenya on Giving Tuesday. But today we're changing that by sharing the story behind Zawadisha.

Alpine Fit's Merino Wool fabric is a super silky and soft 18.5 micron 150gsm weight made from merino wool certified to the Responsible Wool Standard. This internationally recognized certification ensures that the wool comes from farms that have a progressive approach to land management in regards to soil, biodiversity, and native species.
They protect the social welfare of their employees from working conditions, to health and safety, and practice holistic animal welfare including international standards and best practices for addressing hunger, comfort, health, and living conditions.
Merino wool is a sort of miracle fiber, it offers lightweight and breathable warmth, manages moisture and is naturally odor-resistant. It is a natural fiber and therefore not as bombproof as their Sterling™ fabric. We know you need gear for adventuring so we developed this merino wool fabric to include 13% recycled nylon to invisibly enhance durability while retaining the beautiful performance characteristics of merino wool.
This top is designed to cascade over the body, and fit super smoothly under other layers. It is not a super tight base layer, nor relaxed fit.
If you want a more relaxed fit, size up! Alpine Fit offers two fit options in every size. Wild Iris for a more straight/square frame shape.
Azalea for a curvier shape in the bust or hips, or a narrower waist. Refer to Your Alpine Fit for more info. If you are unsure, we recommend Wild Iris Fit.
- 87% Responsible Wool Standard Merino Wool
- 13% Recycled Nylon
- Weight: 5 oz (size M)
- Made in USA of imported fabric by Alpine Fit, a woman-owned small business

Women Owned & Operated
We knew we deserved better equipment and a community that saw us, heard us, valued us, and put us front and center. So we said goodbye to shrink-it-and-pink-it and toxic bro culture and said hello to something more: a community that values camaraderie over competition, solidarity over sending, and compassion over cuntery.
We believe that the recipe for making a kick-ass pair of skis or snowboards has nothing to do with what's between your legs but what's between your ears and in your heart. We start with a concept that meets our unique needs and work with a team of engineers to bring our designs to life. We manufacture in reputable factories that prioritize the health and safety of their team and the environment. We test, bring in our Ambassadors and Athletes (did you know that our skis have been in the Olympics?), refine, and then deliver a finished product to you.
Building An Inclusive Community
From the beginning, we’ve been willing to do and say what our peers won’t. There is no place for the status quo, no room for hanging back, no time for wait or play it safe. In everything we create, we aim to make a positive impact in the world of snowsports and beyond. And that’s what makes us different. We're Coalition Snow, and we're the ones we've been waiting for.
Meet Christina Armetta, one of our 23/24 guest artists. Her creations demonstrate her connection with nature, and this shines through, especially on this year’s Sojourner snowboard.
This week marks the start of Native American Heritage Month. This isn't going to be the blog that you expected about how we're celebrating and honoring our Indigenous communities. It's about how...
