How do you ship?
There is a human that ships your order and like the rest of us, they like to occasionally sleep and shred pow, so please don't expect any Amazon-like 2 hour shipping from us. We take our time to make sure that your goods are packaged with love.
At the risk of sounding like a broken record, we're not Amazon, nor do we want to be. We're a small women-owned business and that's why we charge for shipping. There is a real cost, from the supplies, to the person who packs it, to the person who delivers it. Our flat rate shipping of $15 for skis and snowboards and $5 for apparel and accessories doesn't even cover the cost of shipping. You chipping in a bit means that we get to keep people employed.
We ship UPS for skis and snowboards and USPS for all apparel, accessories, stickers, and Sisu Magazine. Please provide a valid address when placing your order. To inquire about international shipping rates or any other shipping inquiries, please contact us.
We highly recommend Route Package Protection, which is toggled on at checkout, for both skis/snowboards and any USPS shipments, as we have seen an uptick in issues with all logistics companies. It's a small price to pay for peace of mind and package replacement or an order refund. Unfortunately, the USPS has become somewhat unreliable but they're still the only economic option for a small business like Coalition Snow. If you decide to remove Route Package Protection from your order, Coalition Snow is unable to replace any lost/stolen packages.
How long will it take to get my goods?
During the off-season (May-September) we ship about two times a week. During the ski season we ship around three times a week. All of our athletic wear -- crop tops, shorts, hot shorts, capris, and leggings -- is made to order in Montreal, please allow between two and three weeks for delivery. Most of our apparel also is made to order, so please allow between one and two weeks for delivery. Need things faster or have questions? Please contact us.
What does the Extend Accidental Coverage actually cover?
Generally speaking, the Extend accidental damage plans cover if you break the covered item unintentionally or wear it out through normal use (using the skis and snowboards to ski and snowboard). These plans cover accidents, and also failure from normal wear and tear. What isn't coverable is intentional damage or abuse/misuse. So if you chip your skis because you hit a rock or they fell off your roof rack - then you can and should file a claim. If you chip your skis because you were using them to sword-fight, threw them off a building, or drilled holes in them to hang on the wall - that's not coverable.
Do you ship internationally?
We do ship to certain international destinations. Please be advised, you are responsible for any duties/VAT/taxes that are imposed on imported goods in your country. We are not able to add those fees on to your purchase. Please understand what taxes/duties you may be responsible for and how you pay those fees, prior to making your purchase. Please be advised, we have temporarily halted shipping to the UK until we can determine how best to implement the new Brexit rules.
What's your warranty policy?
All of our skis and boards have a lifetime warranty for manufacturer’s defects. Rocks, trees, rails, boxes, humans, or any other object that your board or skis come in contact with or other user errors that result in damage do not qualify for a warranty. Think you have a warranty issue? Contact us and we’d be happy to sort it out for you. Read the full warranty policy here.
What's your return policy?
Not happy with our gear? Return your skis or snowboard within 14 days of the delivery date for a full refund. We accept returns for apparel and accessories that have not been worn or used within 14 days for a full refund. We are unable to make exceptions to the 14 day return window.
We do not do exchanges.
Apparel returns incur a $5 fee for shipping and skis/snowboards incur a $15 shipping return fee, which will be deducted from your refund. We only accept returns on items purchased directly from us. Yard Sale items are final sale and we do not offer returns or exchanges. Contact us with questions or to make arrangements for your return.
