The Community Care Sale
At Coalition, we believe everyone deserves to experience the magic of sliding on snow. That's why we’ve launched The Community Care Sale. This pay-what-you-can sale event on our skis and snowboards breaks down financial barriers so you can gain access to high quality gear at affordable prices.
Why are we doing this?
For a few reasons. First, this year marks our 10th year in business. Think of this sale as a grand THANK YOU SO F*CKING MUCH sale. Because of you, we’re still here, and we’re so grateful for that.
Secondly, snowsports is growing increasingly out of reach for more people. Just like you, we are mortified by lift ticket prices, pay-for-parking schemes, $20 frozen french fries. We’re elder millennials and remember a time when costs felt more reasonable and more accessible, when big corporations weren’t figuring out how to squeeze every last penny out of the soul of skiing.
Our Community Care Sale helps to make snowsports more accessible, diverse, welcoming, and inclusive.
This sale is equity in practice. It's rooted in the solidarity economy. Those of us who have the financial means can help make purchasing skis or snowboards easier for people who don't. For every offer accepted above the threshold, it unlocks an offer below. Click here for details.
How It Works

- Click on the "Make an offer with ergo" button.
- Enter the price you want to pay, and how long you want your offer to be valid for.
- Check your inbox (and spam/promotions)!
- If your offer is accepted, you'll receive a unique discount code to apply at checkout.
- If we have questions about your offer, you'll also hear from us via email.

Will I be charged immediately?
Nope! After you make your offer, you'll receive an email with a discount code that will expire in three days.
Can I make more than one offer?
Technically, yes you can. But we are going to be reviewing all of the offers. We are asking you to be very thoughtful and honest with your offer. We’re not some big corporation – we’re a few women running a small business and are counting on you to treat this process with respect.
How will I know if my offer is accepted?
You will receive an email from with a discount code. Make sure you check your spam/promotions folder!
Can I combine discount codes?
You can only use one discount code at checkout.
Why do you ask for a date for how long my offer is valid for?
If we don’t immediately accept your offer, this helps us understand how long you’re willing to wait. You’ll get notifications about our inventory levels and for every person whose offer is above our threshold, one below the threshold offer is accepted. That could be you.
Can I cancel my order?
Yes, you will have 48 hours to cancel your order before we ship. If you miss that window and we ship your skis/snowboard, you will be responsible for all shipping costs. Please note that once you cancel and/or return your skis or snowboard, you will not be eligible to make a lower offer aka no shenanigans.
How long will this sale last?
This sale will last through April, perhaps May depending on inventory levels.
