This season delivered a winter that we will never forget. And inside the Coalition Clubhouse, we made some memories as well. Here are a few of our favorites from the 22/23 season.
Monthly Challenges
Who doesn’t love a fun and healthy challenge WITH PRIZES (can someone say Coalition Snow shopping spree)?
October: Squat Challenge, folks were squatting everyday (or almost) and sharing photos and videos of some of the silliest places they were squatting.
November: We were feeling antsy for snow, so we asked Clubhouse members to dress up in their winter gear and go for a run. Because why not?
December: The snow has fallen and we are getting out on the snow. We asked members to share their first day on snow pictures!
January: New year new you? New year same you? Either way, we wanted to know about the intentions that members of this community set. Members shared their intentions and stoked each other up!
February: Some of us start to have feelings of burnout here. Maintaining energy is hard. To get the focus off of burn out, we asked members to post their post helmet/hat hair. We had some laughs!
March: The season is coming to a close (despite these monster storms). For the last challenge of the winter, we asked members to share their “season goals unlocked”. We love to see what everyone has achieved this year!
April: Slushy Spring skiing is here! We love the slush vibes and we want to see your goggle tans, your spring skiing outfits and whatever slush vibes means to you. Share yours here, this challenge is open until the end of April. #slushvibes
Live Video Chats
What’s the next best thing to connecting with people IRL? Our monthly live chats with Clubhouse Headmistress Evin Harris. Every month she’d hit record and share the latest happenings in the Clubhouse and check in with members. It was a great time to connect in real time with this community and check in with each other.
Free Backcountry Workshops
For the third season in a row, we hosted Backcountry Beta with TREW Gear. Backcountry Beta gives members an opportunity to dip their toes into topics of Backcountry skiing and snowboarding, for FREE. However, this year we created a paid option, with 4 payment levels, $10, $25, $50 and $100. ALL of these proceeds support the Indigenous Backcountry Scholarship. We raised $755 from Backcountry Beta paid members for the scholarship.

Thirsty Thursdays
Snow related thirst traps? Yes please. We started a fun bi-weekly thread called Thirsty Thursdays that was the highlight of the season for Evin, our Headmistress. Check out some of her favorites here, here, and here.
Uplifting & Amplifying
We managed to get through some shitty moments this season and we all are so grateful to have community members who pay attention to what’s happening in the world and make their lives about more than just snow. The Clubhouse is full of people who are committed to uplifting and amplifying marginalized and underrepresented people in snowsports. We ranted, we shared the stoke, we learned, and we continued to lift each other up. Together we’re making snowsports more inclusive and we’re changing the industry.
We want to say THANK YOU so much to every person who is part of this community. The Coalition Clubhouse is a special place and you all make it amazing. You can pop in anytime, catch up on what you missed, and stick around this summer for more challenges and connections.
