Tech Specs

Tip & Tail Rocker

Tip and Tail Rocker (394 mm tip and 238 mm tail) with 2mm mild camber underfoot.

  • Easy turn initiation - The upturned tip and tail help the ski pivot smoothly into turns
  • Stable on groomed runs - The camber underfoot keeps you connected to the snow for precise control
  • Floats in powder - The rockered tip won't dive or catch in soft snow
  • Forgiving - Less likely to catch an edge compared to full-camber skis

Multi Radius Sidecut

A multi-radius sidecut means the ski turns differently at different speeds and intensity of engagement.

  • Carvable - A longer sidecut in the tip and tail keeps the ski on the fall line, while a shorter radius underfoot gives the ski its carveability when engaged.
  • Reliable - The ski won't suddenly grab or "hook" when you don't expect it.
  • Stable & Responsive - The combination makes the ski stable and responsive while skiing at each moment of the turn, cutting down on overturning and hookiness. The 24m radius underfoot is ideal for long, arced GS type turns, and responds well to speed.

FSC Certified Birch Wood Core

Birch wood is durable, responsive, and lively. It transmits your movements directly to the snow and doesn't feel dead or dull.

Triaxial Fiberglass Laminates

  • Torsional strength - Resists twisting when you're on edge
  • Smooth power transfer - Your energy goes efficiently into the turn
  • Consistent flex - The ski bends predictably from tip to tail
  • Dampens vibration - Reduces chatter at high speeds

IS 7500 Sintered Base

  • Fast - Sintered bases glide better than extruded bases
  • Durable - Harder than extruded bases, resisting scratches and gouges
  • Repairable - Our bases are 1.3 mm thick, which is thicker than industry standard so you can stone grind the base more times

1.7mm Steel Edges

Lightweight 1.7mm steel edges that won't dull quickly and grip hard snow and ice.

Limited Edition & Small Batch

The SOS excels on groomers, in pow, through trees, open bowls, the park... there's no where the SOS can't take you.

We've designed our best selling ski with rocker at the tip and tail, combined with traditional camber underfoot. The width underfoot creates a ski that charges hard through all conditions, delivering aggressive performance with versatile adaptability that even intermediate skiers will love.

🌲 Trees & Tight Spaces - The rocker sections at tip and tail allow for smooth navigation around obstacles while the camber underfoot maintains precise control. The wider width underfoot provides stability without sacrificing maneuverability. The turning radius is long though, so it won't naturally make tight turns—you'll need to drive the ski.

🧊 Ice & Hardpack - Traditional camber underfoot creates excellent edge response, while rocker zones prevent harsh edge catch. The birch core provides vibration dampening while maintaining the energy needed to handle variable conditions. Truth be told, we don't love the SOS in really icy conditions—the Rebel is a much better ski for extremely firm, East Coast ice.

⛷️ Big Lines & Steep Terrain - Camber underfoot delivers the directional power needed for charging steep faces and open bowls, while the width underfoot provides confidence-inspiring stability at speed through varied terrain. This is a hard charging ski and you'll feel it perform the more you ask of it.

❄️ Powder & Variable Conditions - Rocker at tip and tail helps the ski navigate through deep snow and float naturally, while camber underfoot maintains contact for steering control. The SOS shines in slush, powder, and corn snow.

🐪 Moguls & Bumps - You are in control of this ski, so if you want it to ski a bump, it will. But the turning radius is wide and it won't naturally want to make tight turns. If carving and bumps are your jam, the Rebel, Bliss, or Lil' Nasties are a better choice.

🎢 Park & Freestyle - The versatile profile with rocker zones provides forgiveness for landings while camber underfoot delivers solid pop and stability for takeoffs. It's not a true twin and it's quite wide for the park, but it holds its own if you want to play around in the park.
