When I started that skin climb up, I still didn't know if I'd actually ski down naked. I needed to see how I felt at the top. Once up there, watching everyone shed their layers, laugh, and carry on like there was nothing to see, I realized that my issues were 100% in my head.
You can cruise the whole mountain with varying degrees of confidence—now what? Once you learn how to ski or learn how to snowboard and begin to feel more confident, progressing can often feel elusive. Where does one start?
It's going to be challenging to celebrate anything this Women's History Month knowing that there are so many women and children suffering at the hands of powerful men, and yet it's always been this way, hasn't it? Rather than retreating, we can take inspiration from Ukrainians and engage, show up, and fight for what we believe in.
