Travel, like many experiences in life, is best enjoyed when shared. Group travel is a particularly great way to see a new place especially if you have a keen interest in adventure travel. This year we launched Far Out—adventure travel that will take you to places you’ve always dreamed of, both near and far. From a women-identifying and non-binary ski trip to Japan to a cycling trip and yoga retreat in Kenya, we have you covered. For the adventure travel you’ve always dreamed of, we’ll help you travel like a local, discover the secrets of your destination, and share this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity with like-minded people.
New friendships with like-minded people
One of the best benefits of group travel is the ability to meet like-minded people who are looking for the exact same trip you are. Our trips are designed for the adventurous travel enthusiast and will be made up of the awesome individuals that are the Coalition Snow community—so you know you’ll be in good company. We’ve put together trips that make getting to know each other effortless, and what better way to make friends than by sharing activities you love?
It’s planned for you, so you can relax
When we say Far Out group travel is planned for you, we mean it. You are only responsible for booking your flights and from the moment you step off of the plane—we got you. From airport transfers, hotels, most meals, lift tickets, bike rentals, and more, we have thought of everything. As we are and have worked with, locals in each destination, Far Out trips give you a special insight into each place. You’ll visit the secret spots, ski the best lines, and try the best food. Plus, we have put together pre-departure resources to get you pumped and prepared for your trip. Things like packing lists, and ideas of things to do in your free time will be provided to you. Also, every month we have group meetings so that you can get to know your group and ask any and every question you may have.
Pick your own adventure, literally
Are you a fan of “pick your own adventure,” novels? Great! On Far Out trips you get to live one. We have curated our trips to give you options to have the trip YOU want. We’ve designed our trips to help show you around each destination while allowing you some space to venture on your own or in smaller groups—if you want to. Also, everything planned on the trip is completely optional, it’s your trip, and we want you to have the best time possible. Don’t feel like two days of guided side country exploration in Japan—easy, choose to spend one of those days relaxing in the onsen instead. Feeling like cycling for the whole trip is too much? No problem, rent an e-bike to support your cycling or jump in one of our support vehicles at any point along the trip. This adventure is yours, we’re just here to make it fun, safe, and relaxing.
Locals as guides
All our trips at Far Out are either planned by, or with locals. This goes without saying, but seeing a destination from a local perspective is one of the best and most memorable ways of traveling. This means we’ll be able to show you spots you likely wouldn’t stumble across on your own and introduce you to the rich culture of the places we are traveling to. It also, and most importantly, means we as visitors understand how to be respectful and mindful of the culture, people, and places that we are traveling. The Kenya destinations are thoughtfully put together by Coalition Snow CEO Jen Gurecki who has immense knowledge of the places and cultures you’ll be visiting, as she’s spent nearly 20 years learning throughout Africa. Our Japan destination is something I, Jacinta Gordon, have worked on with Coalition Snow and many locals from Japan to create, as I spent three years living, working, and traveling in Japan.
Last but not least, you will feel confident with group travel from Far Out. We have worked carefully to ensure all transportation is licensed, certified, and insured. We also work with the best and most knowledgeable guides for our more adventurous days to give you that extra layer of comfort. From transportation to skilled guides to legit risk management protocols, we make sure you don’t have to worry about us taking your safety seriously. Being with a group and with an experienced, local guide who knows what direction to point you in is largely beneficial to easing your stress and making sure you have an incredible trip.
