We are thrilled to be the recipients of the Small But Mighty Award from the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN) at the 11th Annual Existing Industry Awards. And we celebrated in true Coalition style.
What an honor to be recognized in this way after 10 years of being in business. We needed a win, a celebration. Things have been hard, so hard, like why are things this hard? When I speak to other small business owners, that struggle is a shared sentiment. We all are feeling it.
I know you are too, from the rising costs of food and fuel to having to repay those student loans. It doesn't feel like there's a whole lot left at the end of the month, or not as much as there used to be, and that is scary.
And here we are, about a month away from the busiest shopping week of the year. For many of us who own small businesses, it feels like a make-it-or-break-it time. We need you to keep doing the things we do! And that's why I'm committed to only shopping small this holiday season.
I know how far my dollars go with small businesses. We make a dime scream! Rather than feeling bad or stressed about my spending, I'm going to take pride in knowing that I make a difference. That reciprocity and that impact add so much value and meaning to a holiday season that oftentimes can feel corporate and commercial.
We might have won that award, but I want every small business owner to feel mighty. Small businesses are where it's at and together we can help them thrive this holiday season and beyond.
We couldn't do that without all of you, our community, so if you love us too, the best way to ensure Small But Mighty women-owned businesses survive and thrive is by supporting them with your dollars 😘
