Zawadisha Handwoven Sisal Baskets
These one-of-a-kind handwoven baskets are perfect for storage, plant holders, or simply to gaze at. Trust us, they are stunning IRL.
Hadithi Crafts, a local community based organization in Maungu, Kenya, works with the Kasigau Weaver’s Group, who dye the fibres themselves and then roll the twine on their lap. Making baskets is a very labour intensive art. The baskets come in a number of different colours and patterns, with each design entirely made up by these artistic women!
// All baskets have a unique and traditional pattern woven out of black, tan, creme, and brown sisal.
// Due to the variances in each basket, it is not possible for you to select the exact basket you want, unless you pick up at our shop in Reno. But trust us, you will love the one we pick out for you.
// Small baskets measure approximately 6 inches tall and 6.5 inches in diameter.
// Medium baskets measure approximately 8.5 inches tall and 9 inches in diameter.
