A Giving Tuesday Close to Our ❤️
It might seem unusual for a snowsports brand to be talking about microlending in Kenya on Giving Tuesday. But today we're changing that by sharing the story behind Zawadisha.
Alpine Fit's merino wool base layer bottoms will keep you toasty and comfy all winter long. Made with a warm, light and soft to the touch fabric that smoothly layers next to skin under your ski pants, bushwhacking leggings, or nordic ski tights on those cold winter days. Thoughtfully designed waistband, seam placement and cuffs for the ultimate in comfort and layering. Pair with their Merino Wool T-Neck Top to complete the set for any cool weather adventure.
Alpine Fit's Merino Wool fabric is a super silky and soft 18.5 micron 150gsm weight made from merino wool certified to the Responsible Wool Standard. This internationally recognized certification ensures that the wool comes from farms that have a progressive approach to land management in regards to soil, biodiversity, and native species.
They protect the social welfare of their employees from working conditions, to health and safety, and practice holistic animal welfare including international standards and best practices for addressing hunger, comfort, health, and living conditions.
Merino wool is a sort of miracle fiber, it offers lightweight and breathable warmth, manages moisture and is naturally odor-resistant. It is a natural fiber and therefore not as bombproof as their Sterling™ fabric. We know you need gear for adventuring so we developed this merino wool fabric to include 13% recycled nylon to invisibly enhance durability while retaining the beautiful performance characteristics of merino wool.

We knew we deserved better equipment and a community that saw us, heard us, valued us, and put us front and center. So we said goodbye to shrink-it-and-pink-it and toxic bro culture and said hello to something more: a community that values camaraderie over competition, solidarity over sending, and compassion over cuntery.
We believe that the recipe for making a kick-ass pair of skis or snowboards has nothing to do with what's between your legs but what's between your ears and in your heart. We start with a concept that meets our unique needs and work with a team of engineers to bring our designs to life. We manufacture in reputable factories that prioritize the health and safety of their team and the environment. We test, bring in our Ambassadors and Athletes (did you know that our skis have been in the Olympics?), refine, and then deliver a finished product to you.
From the beginning, we’ve been willing to do and say what our peers won’t. There is no place for the status quo, no room for hanging back, no time for wait or play it safe. In everything we create, we aim to make a positive impact in the world of snowsports and beyond. And that’s what makes us different. We're Coalition Snow, and we're the ones we've been waiting for.
